Award winning photographer Carsten Schael is presenting his last solo exhibition online. Celebrating the new millenium and its global community this series of unique conceptual works presents stunning graphic images of various national flags.
Using ordinary household items, like chopsticks, straws, sponges etc., the artist created amazing textural prints that reach far beyond the scope of photography.

Three images out of this series have been selected as the overall winner of the HKIPP Awards 99. The panel of international judges, among them Japanese shooting star Yoshihiko Ueda, who selected this work as his personal favourite, awarded a total of three prices to these outstanding works.
